Dear SEA members,

On behalf of the executive committee, we extend you and your family members a very happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year 2025.

2024 was an eventful year for space engineers with multiple launches from January 1st and January 31st.

With many more programs approved for ISRO in the upcoming years, everyone is going to be more and more occupied with new challenges. We wish everyone a successful year 2025.

SEA has been functioning as a techno-cultural platform for the space engineering community and their families across different ISRO centres.

The current team took over SEA in January 2024 and has put in excellent efforts in organizing various programs. We successfully distributed diaries for 2024 and 2025 on time to all members, and we thank the team for their coordination.

We have organised felicitation functions for the superannuating members and organizing technical talks both online and offline on various topics for the benefit of members.

Notable Events:

• Vikram Sarabhai Memorial lecture was organised on August 12. Shri. MC Dathan, Former Director of VSSC / LPSC / SDSC delivered the memorial lecture in the presence of ISRO Chairman, Dr. S. Somanath and Dr. Unnikrishnan Nair S, Director, VSSC, Dr. V. Narayanan, Director, LPSC and Shri. Padmakumar ES, Director, IISU.
• SEA distributed 600 kits containing note books, pen and other accessories to needy students across several schools in Thiruvananthapuram under the charity initiative ‘Kits for Kids’.
• In response to the Wayanad landslide disaster, 50 household kitchen kits were handed over to the needy under Way Forward Wayanad.

As we anticipate more exciting launches, the EC team assures you that we will revive all SEA activities—both technical and cultural—to foster a friendly environment.

• Revival of SEA NEWS with a fresh design and contributions from seniors, family members, and startups.
